4DIAC is an open source framework specifically deigned for dispersed industrial deal with and automation. It can provide a zero cost IEC 61499-compliant bases that permits creation of distributed industrial automation and command environments.

The 4DIAC challenge is comprised of the following tools : IEC 61499 compliant Engineering Resource (4DIAC-IDE), IEC 61499 run -time natural environment (FORTE), IEC 61499 Perform Block Library (4DIAC-LIB) and IEC 61499 Instance Tasks (4DIAC- Programs ).

4DIAC is a cross- platform software drafted in Java. It supports Linux, Mac OS X and Windows running methods.
