Kali Linux is an open source Linux operating system specially crafted for security professional who want a secure development environment. It is developed by the creators of the famous BackTrack Linux distribution.
Kali Linux includes more than 300 penetration testing tools, it is FHS compliant, features support for lots of wireless devices, includes a custom kernel patched for injection, multi-language and completely customizable.
Kali Linux is distributed as a Live DVD ISO image with the GNOME desktop environment, supporting 32-bit, 64-bit and ARM architectures. A minimal ISO is also provided on the official download page.
