TabRestorePre is a slick and handy Firefox extension that will run in the background and automatically activate the previously selected tab when closing the current tab. For example, you are now on the second tab, then you move to your fifth tab and close it. The add-on will automatically switch you back to the second tab.
TabRestorePre is an open source add-on designed to work with Mozilla Firefox 18.0 and later. This add-on does not require a browser restart.
