Burp is a lean, multi- platform command-line tool that encrypts and decrypts information using a powerful cryptographic algorithm named "Blowfish". The plan can use both a prolonged sentence-like passphrase, or a quick (up to sixteen random characters ) crucial -string. It will normally read plaintext or ciphertext from a single file and write its conjugate to another, but it will, optionally, go through plaintext from the keyboard or produce it to the display, or encrypt file in-situ, overlaying the plaintext with the ciphertext.
In contrast to several comparable applications, BURP writes to the output file only the ciphertext (i.e., it writes no "file headers", password verification info, system, plan or information identification strings, etc.). Therefore, such file can not be "provably" recognized as ciphertext, as prolonged as the important is safe, or until it is broken cryptographically.
Burp demands no istallation and it can thus easily be executed from removable media.
